Mission Statement:

It is my belief that sharing in the planning and creating of art projects in a family atmosphere helps to develop and foster a unique bond between the adult and child.

The mission of this blog is to make available ideas for art projects that can be shared by the entire family no matter the age or ability of the participants. These projects can be used as suggested or adjusted to fit the supplies on hand or age level and ability.

Project ideas and suggestions will cover many different genres. Genres will range from holiday themes to projects dealing with self esteem and character education.

Please feel free to contact me any time through my email link or posted comments.

Thomas Davniero
I have been an Art Teacher for the past 15 years. I am also the proud father of 2 and happily married. Through art I have made a special bond with my wife and children that I enjoyed as a youth with my brothers and parents. I hope you enjoy and use this site to bring your family closer together also.

JUST A REMINDER BEFORE YOU BEGIN ...

Each project will come with a suggested materials list.

Please keep in mind that the materials needed are a suggestion to complete the projects as presented on the blog.

Any material not on hand can be easily substituted for something easily available (ex. the project calls for glue but you only have a stapler. You don't have to run out and purchase new glue use the stapler and pick up glue the next time you go shopping).
Crayons and markers are very versatile and can be substituted for many different supplies (ex. A project calls for construction paper but none are available).

Always try to put a newspaper down or any other recycled material under the projects to protect your floors, tables, etc.

You do not have to have any artistic ability to create these projects. The outcome of the projects is only secondary to the time you are spending as a family.

Enjoy and get MESSY!!
